Educational Measures had the pleasure to welcome Eric Frohardt, a former Navy SEAL with nearly 12 years active duty service, to come speak during the monthly Vittles and Values lunch. Eric emphasized the importance of quality individuals, strong teamwork and great leadership for success. His incredible stories and life experiences were inspiring and influence values held within the company.
Educational Measures was the featured company on the first ever CMEpalooza Company Spotlight! EM team members were streamed live and discussed ways their technologies improve delivery of CME in different settings. Topics also included an overview of the different service offerings from EM and the future of Array.

Pharmaceutical Meeting Planners using Array
At Pharma Forum this week in Washington DC, Educational Measures (EM) discussed features of their Array iPad® compatible software before a crowd of pharmaceutical meeting planners. All 650 participants were provided an iPad® by EM to view content and engage with participants during the conference.
Top Gun Speaker
Educational Measures takes great pride in their company values and are always looking for ways to reinforce the importance of those values to the organization. Once a month EM provides a healthy lunch for employees and invites a guest speaker to come and share his/her personal stories with everyone, while linking them to the company values.
Our most recent speaker was Rob Ffeild, a two-time TOPGUN Instructor/Executive Officer and head of the highly respected Blue Angels. His stories were inspiring to all and truly helped reinforce the values held at EM.
Optimizing Use of Interactive Technology in Live Meetings
Educational Measures discussed the optimization of interactive technology and its importance in medical education at the annual Alliance for Continuing Education in Health Professions Conference last month. They provided listeners with tips and techniques that can be applied at live meetings to increase the utilization of technology by the attendees to positively impact a presenter’s effectiveness.
The presentation also touched on how advancements in technology have brought great opportunities to engage learners, but it also takes the deliberate effort of educational planners, instructional designers, faculty, and collaborative technology partners to maximize event impact.

EM helps out with Wounded Warrior Project
Thanks to an EM employee being connected with the Wounded Warrior Project in Colorado, several employees were able to volunteer at two veterans’ homes that were wounded in active military duty. The volunteers painted, built stairs, replaced trim boards, ripped out and planted shrubs, and much more at these two homes in Castle Rock. This opportunity partnered with the Douglas/Elbert Realtor’s Association and Helping Hands in order to serve these men and their families.

Purple Stride Sets New Records!
Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this year’s Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Purple Stride 5K such a huge success! This year’s event brought in a record amount of registrants and surpassed last year’s fundraising totals! Our team, Less Chemo. More Moustache. raised over $14,000 and signed on 83 participants! Thank you so much for supporting Charles (pictured to the left at the event with his son and Marc Crawford, CEO of Educational Measures). Almost all of our employees showed up for the race this year and Educational Measures was the presenting sponsor. Everyone had a great time with the photo booth, kid zone, and sno cones! Hope to see everyone again next year!

EM’s Health and Wellness Initiatives
Educational Measures promotes health and well-being for all of its employees, and puts that priority into action in several ways. One way is through a personal fitness trainer that visits the office twice a week to conduct increasingly arduous workouts for any employee who wishes to participate. Another is through their 6 month pilot program using a personal health coach, who is helping employees work on their personal weak areas by setting goals and imparting wisdom and resources to improve areas of their well-being including emotional, mental, physical, relational, diet, and lifestyle. “Their taking the initiative to help increase health-consciousness and satisfaction in all areas of life creates and excellent atmosphere for employees here at EM.”
